Toro Child care centre is an indigenous, non - governmental organization, mandated to ensure that the life of the orphans and vulnerable children in Toro babies Home is meaningful. In 2004, this organization was founded. It was believed that while the other partners contribute legal and protect human rights, spiritual and moral uprightness then other players should provide Technical and financial support to ensure that the daily operations of the Home are met. For this I would like to thank the Board of Toro Babies Home for their wise leadership and guidance.
My thanks also go to the TCCC family both in Norway and Uganda for entrusting me with the leadership of the implementation unit. Allow me thank Ms Gerda Rongevaer team leader TCCC Norway for the big role she is playing in the Resource mobilization unit of the organization. Allow me thank all the Volunteers of the organization for the continuous support.
Our special thanks go to the Donors and friends of the Home and TCCC for the continuing generosity and support.TCCC trusts that you will carry on your goodwill and support to TBH and other communities that strive to bring a smile on the face of an orphan.
TCCC is currently being guided by the theme “STRENGTH THE ROLE OF THE CAREGIVERS” for the years 2009 -2012.As an organization we pledge to build an institution that is very transparent. We shall continue to encourage the participation of all the local groups, agencies and individuals. In the same period, TCCC will further look for issues of income generation, education and food security.
From the above theme, below are the five working objectives:

• Offer technical and financial support to Toro Babies Home
• Strength food production capacity for Toro babies Home.
• Establish strategic partnership within the region.
• Strengthen the systems in order to ensure that the organization achieves its full potential.
• Ensure that the capacity of care-givers is enhanced.

TCCC in its approach of seeking for partnership, will mainly focus on advocacy and building structures that will ensure coordinated Orphan and vulnerable children support in our region.Training,provision of information will be core to our partnerships.
TCCC will also strive to bring the voice of the caregivers closer to the decision makers in the region. This will be a big achievement from the networking point of view since the issue of orphan support is a continuous.
