MESSAGE FROM GERDA RONGEVAER; INTERNATIONAL COORDINATOR OF TCCC
My appreciation is extended to every one that has contributed to Toro Child Care Centre (TCCC) especially
the donor community who have supported us with financial resources and other necessities.
It is unfortunate to note that Dr. Chris Kirumba passed away but I recognize and appreciate the
role he played by introducing me to Toro babies Home which I found worth supporting through lobbing
and fundraising for the vulnerable children at the home that are not there by wish or will but due
to loss of their parents, desertion or neglect by people in question.
I am a Norwegian by nationality, Assistant Nurse by profession and I work in Stord; West Norway.
During my free time, I lobby and fundraise for TCCC Voluntarily and ensure that the mobilized resources
reach the right people, in the right time for the right cause. I work closely with Robert Asiimwe
(Team Leader in Uganda) overseeing general TCCC work.
I am among the lucky ones who have achieved and lived a better life; for this reason,
I have involved my self in this kind of work to ensure that the unfortunate, Vulnerable
or the Disadvantaged children get an opportunity of living a descent life.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
I would like to appreciate roles played by different persons that include the Donor Community,
Team leader TCCC, Staff and Local communities; henceforth inform all our web viewers that with
limited or scarce resources, we have achieved more than expected among which include:
Creating a homely environment for the children that has a positive function in the improvement
of their livelihoods and therefore expect much more than this given a chance that resources are or can be in place.
With the fact that achievements have been attained with limited resources, there’s a
likely hood that the home may encounter challenges a head of its journey; there fore I thank
all those that have had a hand of support and welcome those willing to support TCCC and Tooro
Babies Home till the time it sustainably meets its objectives.
